The hydrocycle can be positioned vertically or horizontally and can be connected at any point of your water supply to the home.
With the pore size of the membrane filter at only 0.01 micron, the Hydrocycle can remove all impurities up to 99.99%, impurities include bacteria and viruses. For bore water or high turbidity water a 5 micron pre filter is recomended to prolong the life of the membrane.
Normal Operation
During normal operation automatic flushing occurs depending on pre-set timer on controller. Eg once every 4 days for low turbidity or high quality water. This may become more frequent in drier months when rain water becomes more stagnant or contain more particles. Trapped particles and contaminants are released from the membrane of the filter during flushing operation.
Backward Flushing Mode
This cleaning operation prevents impurities to further penetrate into the pores on the membrane surface. This means prolonged life of your filter cartridge and less cost in replacing often not like other filters. Backward flushing mode is a manual operation needed only once every few months depending on quality of water and may need to be increased in the drier months. During this mode water is forced in reverse throughout the membrane and flushes out concentrated impurities.
